Sitting on a cushion,
Made by who?
Sitting on a web
Of unknown benefactors.

Sit on the safu,
Breathe in, breathe out,
Watching, waiting,
For this “me” to appear.

Stiff neck,
Stiff shoulders,
Stiff back,
Clear mind.

Turtle doves sing,
Early mist gathers,
Mind is quiet,
Buddha smiles.

Sleep time,
Dream time,
Mind time.
Just time.

Running water,
Out my window.
Running thoughts,
In my mind.

God, how I hate hospitals.

Mom woke up in pain and finding it difficult to walk. We are sitting at the hospital, waiting for x-rays, blood tests, medical evaluations and everything else that gets done in places like these
