Monkey yelling,
Monkey climbing
Being wild.

Just see monkey,
Let him be,
Let him exhaust
It’s own rage.

Monkey sitting,
Monkey breathing.
Mind is quiet,
Monkey’s gone.

Life, any life,
Unique and fragile.
A single drop of dew
Under the sun.

A rare accident,
A breaking wave,
A sudden flash.

Blown away forever
Like a tiny poem
Written in the sand.

Life, any life,
Sacred in it’s brevity.
A rare jewel,
A lonely star.

Stepping into night,
Sleep embraces me.
Senses waver,
Darkness comes.

Next life may be better.
Tomorrow might be next life.

Faces passing,
People moving,
A thousand stories
Strolling by.

Each one a drop of life,

Poisons the mind,

Return to now.

Morning thoughts
Run like wildfire.
The mind wanders,
Never calm.

Thousand jewels
Shining brightly,
I drift away
From here and now.

Breath flows in,
Thoughts dissolve.

I let go.

Smell of cooking,
In the morning air,
Fills my day
With love.

Strange thoughts,
From a stray mind,
Running wildly
In my head.

Sounds and figures,
Form dissolve,
I simply wish,
For silence.

Running
By the pale moonlight,
Under a star-filled sky,
Alone.

Mind and breath,
Step follows step.
Clear mind running
Into dawn.

Dim light,
Early morning.
Orange cinder
On the altar.

Just sit.
Just breathe.
Scent of incense,
Being now.
