Running thru the night,
The wind spells freedom,
As it gently touches
My face.

Gardens of thoughts
Sprouting in my mind.
How nice to watch them bloom,
Without grasping.

The magic
Of a single raindrop,
Hanging from the power-lines,
Twinkling as it catches
The distant light
Of daybreak.

Morning.
Breathe in calm.
Silent zendo.
Daybreak.

Crazy morning,
Running wild.
Within the storm,
Can mind stay calm?

Tiny cricket in the darkness.
Your soft and gentle song,
Kindly whispers in my ear,
— “Be here, be now”

Last star peeking
Thru my window.
A shiny dot
On deep blue sky.
Mind settles,
All is calm.

Hollow mind,
Hollow thoughts,
Just a dream
Of being ‘me.’

Buddha smiling,
Incense burning,
Breathing calmly
Sitting still.

Little paws,
A gentle mewing,
Bring me back
Asking for breakfast.

Get up,
Bow down,
Go practice love.

Bird songs drift in
Thru the window.
Morning air
Is fresh and still.

Mind rest calmly,
Breathe flows slowly.
I simply sit,
just here, just now.
